Friendly Planet Missiology is a rapidly growing network of volunteers (Congolese and American) committed to encouraging, empowering and equipping community leaders--particularly those working in the heart of The United Methodist Church's North Katanga Conference in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The arrival of a Friendly Planet team serves as a symbol of hope to those who feel abandoned: "Your visit is a consolation to a destroyed and a forgotten community" declared a women in the Katelwa church.
