A Time to Mourn

Friendly Planet's Work in Context

Our primary mission in 2011 is to bring hope and resources to United Methodist leaders working in some of the most challenging settings in DR Congo.

While we focus on the joy of what is possible, it is important to understand the horror of what has occurred and the injustices that continue in the Katanga region. We encourage you to research the history of the Congo--starting with useful news sources like BBC's profile on the DRC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/country_profiles/1076399.stm
