Transportation
"This is the best thing we have ever done."-Bishop Ntambo Nkulu in response to 1995 bike distribution
"I am so thankful about the project; it is the most saving project the world has ever offered to my people." -Rev. John Mutombo in response to the 2011 launch of the FPM river boat "The Indiana"
DR Congo's lack of drivable roads and reliable passenger trains make travel within the country difficult. Access to affordable modes of transportation transforms lives and communities. Since 1995, we have been helping the local church purchase bicycles for pastors and lay leaders in the region. 2011 marked the building of our first river boat, "The Indiana." The countless testimonies we receive about the fruit of this initiative makes transportation assistance continue to be one of our top priorities.
Standard Bicycle $200
Mountain Bicycle $350
River Boat $12,000

(Re)Construction
"Everywhere we visit, we find people worshipping in sanctuaries without roofs" -DS Rev. Joseph Mulongo
The recent war in DR Congo has left the population with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives; countless homes and public buildings were ransacked and burned down. All over the region we have found hardworking communities baking bricks and volunteering their labor to rebuild their sanctuaries, schools, clinics, etc. Their efforts often get stuck, however, when they confront the expense of purchasing and transporting bags
of cement and roofing sheets. This is where we step in with your financial assistance. Along the river, our boat
"The Indiana" has already started reducing the difficulty of getting these supplies to remote locations.
Roofing Sheet $20 each
Cement $40 per bag
Q: How many sheets and cement bags do you need?
A: We have over $500,000 worth of construction projects in process.
